Getting Started

New to facilitating at Common Good Spaces? This section helps you prepare for a successful session.

Before your session

A few things to sort before you arrive:

  1. Confirm your booking — You should have received confirmation with your session details and any specific arrangements. Your WiFi password and personal door code (where applicable) also live on your member access page.
  2. Review the facilities — Check what is available and what you need to bring
  3. Plan your layout — Think about how you want to arrange the space
  4. Prepare your safety plan — If your activity involves any risk (cutting, heat, etc.), draft a simple safety plan

On the day

When you arrive:

  1. Find us — We are at 69 Forest Street, Castlemaine. The entrance is on Forest Street, look for the Common Good Spaces window signage.
  2. Access — Standard hours are 8:30am–5:00pm, or as agreed for your booking
  3. Get connected — Connect to WiFi using the password from your member access page or your booking confirmation
  4. Set up — Arrange the tables and space to suit your session
  5. Safety check — Conduct a quick safety check of your configuration before participants arrive

Safety first

Before your session starts, check that your setup is safe — no tripping hazards, clear access to the exit, and power cables managed safely.
