Safety

As a facilitator, you are responsible for running a safe session. This section covers our requirements and what you need to know.

Your responsibility

When you use the space, you take on responsibility for:

  • The safety of your attendees
  • Safe use of the space and equipment
  • Appropriate configuration of tables and furniture
  • Managing any hazards related to your activity

Safety planning

If your activity involves any potential risk, you should prepare a safety plan. This might include:

  • Identification of hazards
  • Mitigation steps
  • First aid provisions
  • Emergency procedures specific to your activity

We may request to see your safety plan before confirming certain bookings.

Required for some activities

A safety plan is required if your workshop involves cutting tools, heat, chemicals, physical activity, or anything that could pose a risk to participants.
