Coworking terms in short
A digest of the coworking terms (effective 29 January 2026). The full Terms and Conditions page is what applies. Operator: Common Good Castlemaine PTY LTD. Questions: [email protected].
Using the space
- Coworking: a bookable day in a shared open-plan space. Focus first, social time around lunch.
- Shared premises: coworking and meeting spaces are at the back. A retailer may operate at the front. Don't touch retail displays unless the shop is open.
- Storage room at the back: out of bounds, no access.
- CCTV at the entrance and retail area, for security and safety only. Using the space means consenting to it.
- The Coworking Guide and House Rules form part of the terms. If they conflict, the terms win.
- Included: desk, chair, power, wifi, tea, batch brew coffee, milk and fridge, kitchenette with hot water, toilet, and the meeting spaces when free (fair use). Inclusions can change during maintenance, events or outages.
Bookings, packs and casual days
- Booking is required to guarantee a seat. Log in to the booking platform to use pack credits.
- Sessions may be released in blocks, and there may be a waitlist.
- Home Day packs give priority on your nominated day (Tuesday or Wednesday). You still book. Home Day priority doesn't move to other days.
- Flex spots: limited seats for swaps, extra days and occasional visits. With high demand we may limit repeat bookings outside your Home Day.
- Packs: a set number of days, start on your first booked day, expire per what you bought (for example 8 days over 12 weeks), usable on any available day, not transferable.
- Casual days: when there's room. They can cost more than pack days and may be released closer to the date.
- Meeting spaces: use them ad hoc if free, but a booking takes priority. We may hold one at set times for shared rhythm, and may limit long or back-to-back bookings.
Cancellations
- Cancel through the booking platform at least 12 hours before the start to keep your credit.
- Late cancellations and no-shows may lose the credit. We can make exceptions.
- We may cancel a day for maintenance, safety, outages, extreme weather or low attendance (generally fewer than 2 people). If we do, you get the credit back or an equivalent remedy.
Payments
- Paid online through the booking platform and its payment provider (for example Stripe). Some methods carry a processing fee.
- The terms say GST is excluded unless stated otherwise.
- Honesty fridge extras: pay with the methods provided. Ask if unsure.
Safety, wifi and conduct
- Coworkers are not our employees. If you work for an organisation, its WorkSafe or WHS process applies and injuries go to your employer.
- Take reasonable care, follow safety directions, report hazards and incidents to us. Tell us early about access or safety needs.
- Wifi is shared and not guaranteed to be uninterrupted or secure. Your device security is yours. We're not responsible for data loss or breaches on the shared network, as far as the law allows.
- Be respectful and keep the space clean. We can refuse service or end access for unsafe behaviour, harassment, repeated disruption or repeated breaches.
Liability
- Australian Consumer Law rights that can't be excluded still apply.
- We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss (lost profit, opportunity or goodwill).
- Our total liability is capped at what you paid us for coworking in the 3 months before the event.
- You cover us (indemnity) for reasonable losses from your breach, negligent or unlawful acts, damage you or your guests cause, or injury your actions cause, except where we were negligent.
Other
- We may update the terms. The latest version is in the guide.
- Privacy: see our privacy policy.
